Adult Education at Trinity
Trinity offers its members opportunities to deepen their faith through study of the scriptures in conversation with the world in which we live. We recognize that we are strengthened by our opportunities to connect with one another and build relationships based on trust in God.
Currently, there are a number of opportunities for members and neighbors to explore their faith together:
Adult Education Seminar: Our main Adult Education event, this class meets every Sunday from September through June and discusses books of the Bible, topics related to Christian life, and more. Join us Sunday mornings at 8:45am (Large Meeting Room)
Mens Bible Study: A weekly gathering for men interested in working through the study of the Bible, book by book, together. Meets on Thursdays at 8:30am (Large Meeting Room)
Pub Theology: A monthly gathering of people from all walks of life who are interested in deeper conversations about topics that relate to life, faith, philosophy, science, and more. (time varies) at 5:45pm at La Cabra in Berwyn (check Facebook for more information!)
Miriam’s Circle (Women’s group): MIriam’s Circle is a gathering for women ages 70 and up. This group prioritizes social connection, walking alongside one another, and prayer for one another. Bring your lunch and join us on the First Thursday of every month at 11:30am (Large Meeting Room)
Women’s Prayer Group: This newly formed group is primarily for women who are in the “messy middle” of life—working, raising kids, caring for aging parents. We prioritize contemplative prayer and spirituality. Join us on the second Monday of every month at 7pm (Large Meeting Room)

Joint-taught by our Theologian-in-Residence, the Rev. Jesse Garner, and Rev. Sarah Weisiger, this class studied the Gospel of John and the Johannine letters in depth, exploring the central themes of this unique Gospel as we sought to understand both their original context, and how these incredibly moving stories and lessons continue to inform our faith today.
Our study of 1 and 2 Samuel explored the role of David and how our image of David impacts our vision of Christ.
This class was taught by Pastor Sarah in January-February 2021 on zoom and featured guest teachers from our Earth Care Ministry as well as the Rev. José Irizarry from the Board of Pensions. We explored the the historical connections between our faith and our call to citizenship..

Our Men’s Study this Fall will continue exploring the Hebrew Scriptures as they study the books of Ezekiel and Daniel together.
This class, facilitated by Pastor Sarah in Easter 2021, utilized the video series “Trouble the Water” from the PCUSA to explore questions of race, intersectionality, and dominance together.
