What to Expect at Trinity Presbyterian Church

We are a vibrant community of faith in Berwyn, PA. Our church is diverse generationally. Our worship reflects this with a blend of contemporary and traditional worship music. We know that visiting a new place can be uncomfortable, so we’d like to help you when you visit.

What do I wear?

You’ll notice some members who like to dress up for church and others who don’t. Feel free to wear what’s comfortable for you, and you’ll fit right in.

I Don’t know how I feel about church – am I welcome?

Yes! We welcome anyone who enters our doors. We welcome you in all of your uncertainty, your questions, and your skepticism. We believe in a God who can hold space for all of God’s children while we are figuring things out. We are proud of our inclusive welcome and witness here on the mainline. We know that the church hasn’t always done the best job of making space for the diversity of God’s children, and we are working with intention and with care to be a place of rest, of refuge, and of support for everyone. So you are invited to fully participate in worship, other church events, or you can come and just listen without having to agree with everything or signing up for anything. Our spiritual backgrounds vary and includes members who grew up in all kinds of different churches and others who did not grow up in a faith community and are attending a church for the first time. Whether you have been a Christian your whole life or have rarely or never attended church, you are welcome at Trinity Presbyterian Church.

How long is the worship service?

Our service is at 10 a.m. and is about one hour. We invite you to join us in for fellowship, good coffee, and snacks in the auditorium each Sunday right after worship. Everyone is welcome.

What is the service like?

The music is a blend of classic hymns and modern praise music. During the 10:00 a.m. service we have Sunday school for toddlers through fifth grade. After 10-15 minutes of worship and singing, the children are invited to come forward for the children’s message. Then the children leave and meet their Sunday school teachers in the back of the church. If you would prefer that your children stay in worship you are welcome to have them remain with you for the entire service. Approximately 70 people attend worship each week.

Nursery care is available.

Is our church handicap accessible?

Most of our entire church is handicapped accessible. There is an accessible entrance off the parking lot. We also have areas in the Sanctuary that are specifically designed for wheelchairs. We are actively working to improve our accessibility in order to ensure that all are able to participate equally in our community.

Where do I park?

There is a parking lot on the side of the church. Handicapped parking is also available near the side entrance of the church.

What is available for my child?

During the 10:00 a.m. service we have Sunday School classes for toddlers through Grade 5. We also have many other activities during the year for all ages including high school youth. Check out our Families and Children page for more information.

What about adults?

We have a full range of activities for adults at all stages of life. We offer lunches for retired people that includes varying topics and themes, a Bible Study group that meets to understand and explore the Bible, singing with our adult Sanctuary choir, mission outreach opportunities through our Caring Cupboard and Caring for Creation ministries.
