As we close out this series, we ask ourselves once more: who is this man we know as Jesus? What does he mean to us as Christians and as people? What does it mean to take seriously his impact on our neighbors? How does understanding what others see when they look at Jesus help us to better appreciate what we hold dear?
This class will meet in the Large Meeting Room
We are delighted to welcome our friends from the Islamic Society of Valley Forge, and most especially their new Imam to a conversation about how Islam answers the question: Who is Jesus?
Imam Aqib Choudhury was born and raised in New York City. He completed his memorization of the Qur’an in New York. After high school, he went on to study at the Islamic University of Madinah, where he obtained a Diploma of Arabic Language and Bachelor’s from the College of Islamic Law and Legal Theory. He is currently pursuing his Masters from the Global University of Islamic Finance. Previously he served as an Imam at Jamaica Muslim Center, New York.
Join us as we continue our exploration of the question: “Who is Jesus?” by taking a look at the ways in which modern and classic media informs our picture of Christ. The Rev. Jesse Garner will invite us to reflect on the question: how does the culture around us impact the way we imagine Jesus?
This class will meet in person in the Large Meeting Room.
Join us for our very first Pub Theology gathering. We are calling it "Sheep at the Goat (or Ovejas en La Cabra)" and we are hoping you will give it a try!
We will also be running a youth event concurrently, so if you have a school aged child and would like more information, message us and we can provide you with those details!
What is Pub Theology?
People have been gathering in pubs and public spaces for ages, talking about life, philosophy, faith, and deep questions of meaning. Increasingly, people all over are rediscovering the pub as a safe, open space where they can explore and express their own doubts and questions, learn from others, and engage people of varying religious traditions. In our increasingly fractured society, these spaces are not only welcome, but needed.
Come bring your questions, your curiosity, and pull up a chair.
The format is simple: beer, conversation, and God. Come bring your questions, your curiosity, and pull up a chair. Be ready to engage with people of varying religious traditions, philosophical perspectives and life experiences. You’ll be able to share your own wrestlings and thoughts while learning something new along the way, and hey— there’s likely to be a good craft beer you haven’t tried yet!

On Saturday, January 13th from 10AM-2PM, Trinity Presbyterian Church’s Mission Committee is hosting two Community Service Projects in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and achievements; A Food Drive benefiting our Caring Cupboard and a Book Drive benefiting Book Smiles.
Trinity’s Caring Cupboard provides a week’s worth of groceries once a month to approximately 35 families who live in the T/E community. Trinity does receive some food items through the Chester County Food Bank. However, many items are provided by Trinity through donations. We currently need the following: jelly, mayonnaise, crackers, coffee, tea, salad/cooking oil, toothpaste, bath soap, laundry detergent and toilet paper. We accept all canned goods that have not expired as well as monetary donations. We hope you will consider donating to help those who experience food insecurity in our own backyard.
Book Smiles is a non-profit organization based in Pennsauken, New Jersey. We are looking for new or gently used books for students in grades K-12. They are in search of: Children's picture books, Young adult novels, and Graphic novels. Unfortunately we are not accepting textbooks or encyclopedias.
