But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?
Begun 13 years ago, Mission Honduras helps to provide medical care as well as safe, clean drinking water to the people in two villages in southwestern Honduras. Known as KHISH, Kurtz Humanitarian Initiative in Southern Honduras, it involves participants from churches in VA, NY, and FL. Yearly mission trips have been made since 2005. Funding is provided to cover the $3,200 cost of a quarterly medical visit by Honduran personnel to the people in Moropocay and Puerto Grande. Trinity partnered with several churches to fund a water improvement project in Puerto Grande several years ago. Three members of Trinity attended a 5-day course in Oxford, Mississippi, sponsored by Living Waters for the World, to assist in the second installation of a water purification system.
